What Are Saddle Bags?
A saddlebag is a colloquialism for a woman that has large hips or thighs that seem
disproportional when compared to the size of their bodies. This disproportional size can also be described as the “pear shaped” figure which
women with slightly more fat are normally all too aware off.
Now when looking at saddlebags there are actually many different types and causes for the
condition which should not be mistaken for one another. The treatment / remedy for each is very different and thus mixing them up can either
cause a lack of results or worst an increasing girth of your butt and thighs; you would want to avoid that!
Below we have a listing of all the different types of saddlebag issues that women have to deal
with and how you can treat each different type properly.
Expanding Butt and Thighs
This is one of the most stressful situations that women have to deal with when they put on
weight. Most women are genetically programmed to have their fat distributed to their butt and thigh region when they put on weight from excessive
caloric intake. This is stressful and in most cultures looks a bit off to have so much weight distributed to the bottom.
The good news here is that the fat can almost be as easily removed as it were put on. A steady
regime of exercise and dieting will almost certainly remove the fat that you have stored there to restore your body to the right
shape.
It is important to remember that the expanding butt and thigh syndrome is almost always caused
by an accumulation of fat in that area so you will need a dieting regiment that will reduce fat and caloric consumption to take the fat away from
the said area. Remember that the focus here is simply to reduce your body fat levels and you should see that your butt and thighs reduce the same
way that they have increased previously. We recommend that you take up follow our Exercises to Slimmer Butt and Thighs and Diets to Slimmer Butt and Thighs sections to get a grip on the situation.
As a side note I’d like to warn ladies that even though the majority of the fat that you
accumulate will generally always go to your butt and thighs first; when you start taking the weight off it doesn’t come from the butt and thighs
first. Generally the first place that the body will take its fat from is the chest area. I can be very stressful to see that your chest is
shrinking but your butt is still the same but rest assured it is only for a short while. What happens is that the body will almost always put the
fat back in the chest areas and concentrate its focus on the butt and thigh area only if you keep up your dieting and work-out routine for at
least 2 months. The worst thing you can do it to start the routine out hard and decide to drop it after one month. You will have a lighter chest
and a butt that is still the same size. A double whammy.
Normal Hips – Fat Thighs
This condition is when you have a normal sized butt and normal hip circumference, but has
thighs that are wider or thicker than they ought to be. The thicker thighs make your legs look excessively big and are not keeping to the normal
size of your body frame making you look bottom heavy. Most of the time this is experienced by females who have the added girth on their outer
thighs creating a thick thigh look.
Before going on to explain the occurrences of this type of muscle and fat distribution I would
like to put to sleep a few misconceptions. Firstly some women think that this look is very ugly and is something that has to be gotten rid off.
This isn’t necessarily true as some people find this look extremely appealing. I for one am one of those who like women with bigger and stronger
thighs, more guys than you think actually like this look and you should thus question if you really want to get rid of it.
Secondly, this type of muscle and fat distribution isn’t much to do with any of your lifestyle
factors such as your exercise or dieting regime but much more to do with your genetics. Basically it’s much more probable that you were actually
born with hips and thighs that are meant to look and function like that. It is for this reason that getting rid of the added thighs will be
harder than normal.
It is more than likely that people with added thigh girth will also have thicker bones and hips
which will explain the width of the your legs are set apart which will lend to the impression that your legs are larger than they are. This means
that in order to get rid of this look it is very important that you need to have much less muscle mass and nearly no fat content on the thighs in
order for this look to be remedied.
We recommend that you take up some severe dieting as described in our: Diets to Reduce Fat Content in Butt section and consider exercises in our Exercises to Reduce Curvature in Butt section. A combination of these diets and exercise regimes
will put a very heavy strain on your butt and thighs to such a degree that you will loose a lot of the flesh there in order to get the shape you
want. I have to say that these diets and exercise regimes are very tough and only the hardest minded individuals should consider it. Remember
that it involves changing the way your body was meant to look like and maintaining it that way.
Oversize Hips with Small Legs
What I am describing here is a situation where the opposite of what I have written above where
the hips especially the butt are proportionally bigger than the legs making the appearance of a “apple butt” or even “a potato with toothpick
legs” appearance. The disproportional look can be caused by either 2 conditions. Firstly it can be that the butt is simply too big due to
excessive fat accumulation making the term “fat butt” appropriate. Secondly, if there isn’t too much fat in the butt and hip areas, then it is
more than likely that the legs are simple under-formed and require additional bulk to get it looking right. The treatment for each of these
conditions is very different so you have to carefully determine the exact cause of your condition before you proceed to try to remedy the
problem.
Let us first look at the solutions to the first type of problem causing the condition. Most of
the time this is caused simply by lifestyle issues where too much food has been taken and / or there is a severe lack of exercise. The
disproportional butt to thigh ratio is probably caused by far too much fat being accumulated in the butt area. We recommend that you take up a
dieting regime described in our Diets to Reduce Fat Content in Butt section. Since this
condition is normally caused by a lack of exercise for extended periods of time we will also recommend that you take up exercises described in
our Exercises to Enhance the Curvature of Butts section.
The second situation is where your but is relatively normal but you have legs that are simply
too small which can also create a lop-sided look. In this case what you should be doing is building up the legs so that they look proportional to
the rest of you body. Most of the time the small legs are caused again by lifestyle factors such as the job that you do, your diet and also your
exercise regime. This condition is very prominent with people who spend a lot of their time in front of the computer, have very limited exercise
time and also don’t care much about their food intake. They might not necessarily be fat but so little activity has made their leg muscles small
and looks weird when compared to the rest of their body. For this situation we would suggest that individuals follow our Exercises to Enhance Muscle Tone in Butt section to help them gain more mass on their butts
and thighs to even things out.
Conclusion
You can see that all of these saddlebag problems are
almost always the cause of not maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Most of the time people have a problem with having their butts or
thighs looking wrong simply because basic nutritional factors or workout regimes are not followed. Put simply, if most people have just a simple
dieting and workout program most butt problems like this would not materialize. Its as simple as that.
