Diets for Cellulite Reduction
The very first thing to understand about cellulite is that it is normal fat but situated and
treated by the body differently thus using normal weight loss or fat loss techniques to try get rid of them is not going to work and at best will
result in sub-par results. Although the exact reason for the development of cellulite isn’t known we know what causes the dimpled affect and we
can treat that.
There is however a clear linking between excess fat and the development of cellulite although
skinny people can also develop cellulite. Some of the access fat that you have floating around will contribute to this by deepening the dimple
lows by putting pressure on the access fat cells that already have a hard time finding a place to exist. With more fat, the cells get bigger and
as a result develop a more prominent dimpled affect than if the cells weren’t growing in size.
Generally the consensus amongst professionals is that there isn’t a one true one size fits all
way to guarantee the reduction of cellulite. There are general methods to reduce the appearance of cellulite but it can only work on the majority
of people. Some people have their cellulite even when they are at a body fat level of below 10% which for most of us is looking like an athlete.
So let me stress here that although I can provide you with the details to diets that are known to help reduce cellulite I can’t guarantee that it
will work for everyone. Cellulite is very stubborn and depending on the person can either be easy to remove or prohibitively hard to remove. The
only one sure way to reduce cellulite is to go for surgery, which we don’t condone.
The first thing to note is that although cellulite fat cells are definitely more stubborn than
normal fat cells, they must also follow the rules of fat reduction. It is a physical law that if you reduce your caloric intake to the point that
your body has to draw from its own fat storage to fuel your metabolism. If your intake deficit is mild then almost all the fuel will come from
the fat stores. If your deficit is large then you run the risk of using your fat and your muscles to cover for your metabolism
process.
The first plan of action is to reduce your caloric intake by a mild 10-20%. This will mean that
over a span of a few months you will see a slight decrease in the total body fat and hopefully a slight reduction in the severity of your
cellulite problem. This is purely because of the shrinking that is to happen in the fat cells giving them a bit more room to spread out evenly
instead of lumping up creating the dimpled affect that cellulite is famous for. This caloric deficit exercise is going to take a long time but
studies have shown that very mild diets have a much better success rate when compared to fast weight loss programs. Slow diets give the body
enough time to adjust slowly and not ramp up any “starvation” hormones which can make matters even worst for your cellulite problem.
The next plan of action is to take in as much fibers as possible. In addition to helping with
your caloric deficit diet fibers are also shown to have a positive affect on the reduction of cellulite if consumed over a long period of time.
The exact science behind why this happens isn’t clear but some suspect that cellulite fat cells have a propensity to be reduced when the body is
exposed to situations where food that is eaten is difficult to digest or the food that the body is currently digesting doesn’t have enough
nutritional value. These fibers can come from any sources such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. We would prefer that you consume a higher
percentage of green vegetables as this helps with maintaining the nutritional balance needed for a healthy life too.
We also recommend that you take in lots of water as this has also been shown to help with
cellulite diffusion. Again the exact science to explain this isn’t thoroughly know but it is suspected that by consuming a lot of water that
water retention will be less of an issue and that the fat cells that make up the cellulite will not be pushed up into the skin creating the
dimpled affect.
It is our hope that with this simple but direct diet plan you will be able to at least make a
dent on the cellulite problem. Follow these simple guidelines and we are confident that you will a difference in your cellulite levels over a few
months. Keep to the program for longer and you will see even better gains.
